People Disappearing Into Balls of Ether Never to Be Seen Again
While the principal foursome of Pretty Footling Liars has remained constant throughout the show's run (with the add-on of Mona and Alison as needed), minor characters come and go similar patrons of the Brew. One mean solar day they're in the A squad, the next they're shipped out of Rosewood. While some people have disappeared for good reason — Emily's ex-girlfriend Paige moved to California; Alison'southward mom got murdered — others fade away with zero explanation. Whither that cute boy from the country social club that Spencer liked in season one? What happened to Aria's childhood friend Holden? And where the hell is Jenna? (Delight note: Parents of the Liars have been excluded from this list considering unless they take been confirmed dead you can assume they are absent any given calendar week due to "a conference in Albany.")
1. Alex Santiago, last seen season one, episode 12. Spencer took a walk on the wrong side of the tracks with this hot tennis player who worked at the country social club. She encourages him to employ to a tennis army camp in Sweden even though he's non interested. Later on A sends his in application for him, Alex leaves Spencer at a party thinking she did it. But she didn't, Alex! Did you become to Sweden anyway? With what money? Inquiring Spalex (?) shippers demand to know.
2. Danielle, last seen season two, episode three. Danielle dated Lucas for ane episode in season two then was never heard from once more. Is the Rosewood PD sure she's not in the bunker?
iii. Holden Strauss, last seen season 3, episode 6. Childhood friend of Aria's whose interests include doing martial arts in spite of his eye trouble. He "dated" Aria in season two when she was still keeping her relationship with Ezra a secret, just after an episode where Holden helps Emily figure out where Maya was last seen live, he is never heard from again. Possibly doing tang soo do with a bad heart finally killed him.
4. Jake, last seen flavor 4, episode 16. One of those mysterious Pretty Piffling Liars characters that has no final name despite being relatively important to the plot, Jake was the gorgeous martial arts instructor who Aria dated for a minute later on trying to larn self-defense. They broke up because he couldn't stay awake during old movies, but what happened after he got stabbed in the pes by his ain punching bag? A elementary "he bled to death" in the next episode would take sufficed.
5. Jesse Lindall, last seen season iv, episode 18. Rosewood High School guidance counselor who appeared in two episodes and then vanished. What gives, Mr. Lindall? These children are conspicuously in need of some guidance.
6. Noel Kahn, last seen season 5, episode 9. Noel's involvement in everything has e'er confused me and so much that I'g convinced he's a ghost only the Liars can see. The last time we saw him, he had stolen an envelope total of pictures of Ali for reasons that have never been explained. Spencer hit him with a fireplace tool at the lake firm, then he walked out into the dark Pennsylvania night, presumably to bring together up with his ghost friends for a ghost party.
seven. Sydney Driscoll, final seen season five, episode 13. Jenna's man guide dog, last seen at the Water ice Brawl. Like Jenna, she seems to hate Ali, but non enough to have done anything most it in many episodes. Swim squad must take up a lot of her time.
8. Lucas Gottesman, last seen flavour v, episode 13. Lucas and the next character on this list take always popped in and out as needed, but at this point, don't you lot want to know where they go during those episodes-long stretches where no i hears from them? He needs to return and assistance Caleb do some hacking presently, or I volition assume he too is expressionless.
9. Jenna Marshall, last seen flavor five, episode thirteen. Ali and company are the reason Jenna is blind (or not blind — who can go on track?), then you can understand why she'd want to continue her distance. As of the Christmas episode, she was hellbent on taking Ali downwards but has since floated abroad into the ether. Come back and have her down, Jenna! Just because she helped rescue her friends from a psychopath'south missile silo doesn't mean she's non still a bitch.
10. Mrs. Grunwald, last seen flavour 5, episode 14. Mrs. Grunwald doesn't live in Rosewood, but given that she'south some sort of witch who (1) knew that Mona wasn't dead and (ii) pulled Alison out of the ground way dorsum when, you'd call up the Liars would contact her to see if she tin assistance with this Charles concern. But no. They adopt to continue hiding things from the police, because that's always worked out so well for them.
11. Gabriel Holbrook, final seen season five, episode 18. Afterwards helping Alison, Holbrook was suspended from Rosewood'southward finest/shadiest for "inappropriate behavior." He was so upset about this that he grabbed Hanna hard enough to make her hit him with a tire iron, and and so — you know how this goes. Revenge is a dish all-time served ambivalent.
12. Cyrus Petrillo, last seen season five, episode 21. Every bit of season five, Cyrus was in the hospital with burns courtesy of A. Someone, maybe A, hid in the burn unit and moved toward him like they meant to cause him harm, so nix. Logic says that person killed him, but logic has never applied in Rosewood. Don't be surprised if he returns in five episodes with a new confront.
thirteen. Mike Montgomery, last seen season v, episode 24. Like Lucas and Jenna, Mike has always been in and out, but where has he been ever since his sister got locked in a missile silo for iii weeks? Surely that trumps lacrosse practice. Is he Charles?! (No. Probably non. Peradventure? I have no thought.)
